We use WhatsApp because it’s quick, convenient, and already part of your day-to-day life — but we’re also building out a growing ecosystem of resources, including a searchable directory of local businesses, referrals, service providers, and shared tools. Over time, we’ll continue expanding member benefits based on community needs.

To keep things focused and avoid information overload, BathConnect is structured into a few core WhatsApp groups, each with a clear purpose — from general chat to business-specific requests. In addition, members can opt into optional sector-groups for focused discussion and networking opportunities.


You can join or leave these groups at any time, based on what’s most relevant to your current work — ensuring that you stay informed without feeling overwhelmed.

Right now, it’s completely free to join BathConnect.

Should the community grow substantially, there may come a time where we introduce a small membership fee to help things run smoothly — but we don’t believe in large fees that offer little in return.

If we ever do introduce fees, they’ll be modest — likely no more than the cost of meeting a fellow member for a cup of coffee each month.

For now, there’s no better time to join, get involved, and help shape the community while it’s still growing.

There’s no pressure to stay. If at any point you feel BathConnect isn’t useful to you, you can leave with just a few taps — no hassle, no awkward conversations. We want the community to be genuinely valuable to everyone who’s part of it, not something that feels like a chore or obligation.

BathConnect Membership AgreementLast Updated: 23/03/25Welcome to BathConnect—an independent community for Bath-based business owners, creatives, and professionals to connect, share ideas, and grow together. By joining, you agree to the following membership terms. Please read them before signing up.---1. Membership Eligibility & Participation
1.1. Membership is open to individuals and businesses based in or closely connected to Bath.
1.2. By joining, you agree to engage in good faith with other members and contribute positively to the community.
1.3. All members must agree to follow the terms outlined in this agreement and any group guidelines shared by BathConnect.---2. Membership Fees & Payments
2.1. BathConnect currentlyhas no membership fees whilst we grow the community.
2.2. The current standard rate is £10/month or £90/year. Founder members receive 50% off for a limited time.
2.3. Payments are processed through our chosen platform. Membership access begins once payment is confirmed.
2.4. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in Section 4.
2.5. BathConnect may review membership pricing at anytime but will always notify members in advance.---3. Membership Benefits & Access
3.1. Members receive access to:

3.2. Access is personal and must not be shared. Adding non-members to groups is not permitted.---4. Membership Cancellation & Revocation
4.1. You may cancel your membership at any time via the website or by contacting support. Cancellations stop future billing but do not trigger refunds for previous payments.
4.2. Members who breach this agreement or community guidelines may have their access revoked without refund.
4.3. If BathConnect closes or discontinues services, we may issue pro-rata refunds at our discretion.---5. Privacy & Personal Data
5.1. Your phone number will be visible to other members within the WhatsApp groups.
5.2. Members must not use other members’ details for spam, cold selling, or irrelevant marketing.
5.3. BathConnect will not share your data with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
5.4. Do not screenshot, forward, or share messages from the WhatsApp group outside the community without permission.---6. Community Conduct & Acceptable Use
6.1. Members must engage respectfully and professionally.
6.2. Prohibited behaviours include:
--Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks
--Spam, excessive self-promotion, or unsolicited ads
--Sharing confidential information
--Any illegal, unethical, or misleading activity
6.3. Members can report any inappropriate behaviour directly to the admin team.
6.4. Complaints will be reviewed confidentially. Breaches may result in a warning, removal from groups, or termination of membership without refund.---7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. BathConnect is a peer-to-peer networking and knowledge-sharing community. Any collaborations or business outcomes are the responsibility of the members involved.
